Preston Taylor

Preston Taylor, no stranger to stages both international and domestic, has performed at a high level his entire life. Preston most recently starred as Jack Kelly in Newsies at theHale Centre Theatre. He was recently featured as a soloist in The Broadway Princess Party, singing with the likes of Laura Osnes, Christy Altomare, Susan Egan and Arielle Jacobs. Other recent regional credits include Joseph in Joseph…Dreamcoat (Sundance), Prince Topher in Cinderella (Hale Centre Theatre), Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing (BYU), Cinderella’s Prince/The Wolf in Into the Woods (BYU), Orin in Little Shop of Horrors (BYU), Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz (Hale Centre Theatre with Lexi Walker), and Fabrizio in The Light in the Piazza (BYU, conservatory). Other past credits include Bobby Child in Crazy For You, J. Pierpont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls, Ren in Footloose, Ambrose Kemper in Hello, Dolly!, Albert Lennox in The Secret Garden, and Billy in Anything Goes (BYU, conservatory). Preston was also recently featured as a soloist in concert with Joey Contreras and Natalie Weiss and with the Southwest Symphony. For four years (2016-2019), Preston toured internationally with the BYU Young Ambassadors all over South Africa, Zimbabwe, Brazil and China. For three years on the Young Ambassadors, Preston was the president of the group, coordinating with individuals all over the world, managing social media and marketing and assistant directing the production of the show. Preston is graduating with a BFA in Music Dance Theatre from Brigham Young University in April 2020. After graduation, Preston will move to New York with his wife, Emily and son, William to continue his career as an actor and vocalist.
